College Prep

Michigan college prep that helps your student stand out

Guidance through the parts of the application that move the needle: essays in your student’s own voice, application review, and interview coaching. In-home, at our centers, or online across Michigan.

What we help with

Support across the whole application

01

Essays that sound like your student

We coach the personal statement and supplements from a blank page to a finished draft, drawing out a real story in your student’s own voice. We guide and edit; your student writes.

02

Application review

A careful pass over the whole application, from activities and honors to the details admissions officers actually read, so nothing strong gets buried and nothing weak slips through.

03

Interview coaching

Practice that helps your student speak about themselves with confidence, through mock questions and specific feedback before the real conversation.

04

Timeline and deadlines

A clear plan that maps every deadline across the schools on your student’s list, so applications go in early and calm instead of late and rushed.

Why it matters

The application is where a strong student becomes a memorable one

Grades and scores open the door. The essay, the activities list, and the interview decide who walks through it. We help your student present the full picture with clarity and confidence, on their timeline.

  • A finished personal statement your student is proud of
  • Supplemental essays tailored to each school
  • A polished activities and honors section
  • Mock interviews with specific feedback
  • A deadline plan across the whole college list

What families say

Families who found their fit

★★★★★ 5.0 on Google
★★★★★
"Because of his patient and knowledgeable help, she gained 4 points on the ACT retake and raised her senior math grade. The math scores showed the greatest improvement, which is significant since that was the area where she had the greatest anxiety. The extra 4 points on the ACT helped her get a scholarship."

"My daughter is not a very good test-taker, so we sought the help of College Tutors to help boost her score. It worked! After tutoring, she re-took the ACT, improved her score, and is now enrolled at her #1 pick school. I would highly recommend your service to any parent who wants to help give their child an edge."

Questions

College prep, answered

When should we start college prep?

Junior year is ideal, with essay work beginning the summer before senior year. Starting early gives your student room to write thoughtful drafts and submit ahead of deadlines. If senior year has already begun, we build a focused plan around the dates that remain.

Do you write the essays for my student?

No, and that is on purpose. Admissions readers can tell when an essay is not a student’s own, and authenticity is what stands out. We coach, question, and edit so the final piece is genuinely theirs, and stronger for it.

Can you help with scholarship and financial aid essays?

Yes. Many scholarship applications reuse the same core stories with a different angle, and we help your student adapt their strongest material so each submission lands.

How is college prep different from test prep?

Test prep raises the ACT or SAT score that gets your student considered. College prep shapes the essays, applications, and interviews that earn the offer. Many families do both, and we can sequence them so neither gets rushed.
